Greater Noida Institute of Technology (GNIT) Greater Noida Institute of Technology (GNIT) is one of the premier Institutions in the field of Technical and Management Education. It has been formed by Shri Ram Educational Trust, Noida on no profit basis with a firm determination and commitment to foster a holistic approach towards the development of Engineering and Management Education. The Trust was formed in the year 2000 and the Institute was established in the year 2001. It has been approved by All India Council Of Technical Education and affiliated with U.P. Technical University, Lucknow. At present it is imparting MBA and B.Tech Courses in different disciplines. Institute has also planned to have Masters and Doctors Programmes in near future. The Institute distinguishes itself from other colleges and Institutes due to its holistic approach and unique foresighted planning in providing technical and professional education with the state-of-the-art techniques. The main objective of an Institute is to generate a bunch of highly creative professionals, who can contribute not only in the Human Resource Development but also in the Nation Building Exercise. Allround personal growth of the students and development of fine skills are the key objectives at GNIT. We groom students as an effective personality for immediate employment. Shri Ram Educational Trust, nurtured by a group of enthusiastic & philanthropic promoters under the able & effective guidance of a chain of top-notch professionals from the educational as well as industrial arena, has been engaged in the task to establish various Institutes from the Institutes of Technology to Management Institutes under its aegis. Greater Noida Institute of Technology (GNIT) was the first venture established in 2001 by the Trust, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of HRD for running B.Tech. course. Later, MCA , MBA, and M.TECH programs were added in the same institution. Presently, more than 3000 students are studying in GNIT. The Trust later set up Greater Noida Institute of Management (GNIM), a state-of-the-art leading Management Institute spread over four acres in Knowledge Park-II at Greater Noida. The Institute has been setup with a view to impart education in an audible manner and with the prime objective of developing leaders capable of making business decisions in a complex global environment.

Facilities:

Class Room: At Greater Noida Institute of management (GNIM), teaching methodology used is the state of art with following facets: Classrooms are Air Conditioned and equipped with OHP & LCD projector for interactive session Use of computers for imparting lectures are emphasized Student are required to solve case studies on the subject being taught on a regular basis. There are projects and assignment given to student to develop research skill. Use of journals and reports are emphasized. There are regular industry exposure through industrial visits. Eminent persons from various industries are called and seminar are organized for students to know the dynamic of the contemporary business world. Eminent academician are called for guest lectures.

Library: For any business school library is the core of knowledge center. We at Greater Noida Institute of Management (GNIM) believe that the library is the temple of learning. The Instituteâ€™s centralized air-conditioned library is well stocked with a collection of more than 4711 volumes on various topics, running to 542 titles that include text books, foundation books and books for supplementary reading. Besides this, there are a number of General Books aiming at the overall development of the students. Library also subscribed with E-journal along with wide range of nation and international journals, magazines, periodicals, newspapers and information bulletins of world repute, which gives exposure to the students about the happening in the world and awareness in international arena. The Institute is well connected with other libraries and having relationship so that the students can be benefited from other library also.

Cafeteria: The favorite haunt of all students is the well designed and large cafeteria. It provides snacks catering to all tastes and even hot food to day- scholars. Transport: The institute runs its own buses thus providing ample opportunities to students for outing ,travel and study tour.

Hostel and Mess: Greater Noida Institute of Management has excellent hostel facility for Boys and Girls separately close to the academic block in the campus itself. The rooms in the hostel have attached bathroom and other ancillary facilities. Each student is provided with a Bed, Study Table, Chair, Mattress, Bed Sheets, Pillow, Blanket and a separate almirah. The Management is very particular that the rooms are clean, airy, well ventilated and hygienic. Each wing of the hostel has a recreation room. Mess facility is an integral part of the hostel, which provides wholesome and nourishing homely food. The stay in the hostel gives a sense of camaraderie and fraternity amongst the students. Mess caters to the tastes of the students of different region and students with varied culinary preferences. However there are certain guidelines which are to be followed while planning the meals. Mess menu is planed and managed by the students in consultation with the caterer and the Management, who is responsible for managing the affairs of the hostel. The Mess Committee has representation of the students as well.

Computer Lab: The curriculum encourages interactive use of computers as an integral part of the learning process. Greater Noida Institute of management(GNIM)lab is well equipped 60 Computers with the latest Pentium Dual Core PCâ€™s, with 1GB RAM, 160 GB HDD and TFT LCD Monitors with all latest software and communication tools & state-of-art WiFi (Wireless Fidelity) & Local Area Network (LAN), providing multi-user environment on Windows XP platform to meet both present and future needs. A RF link with 1 Mbps renders 24/7 on-line availability of net connection. Further, the entire campus is on WI-FI assists both students and faculty access internet wherever they are.
